Joining Rose of Sharon -
               Church Membership

        At the close of the service, a hymn of invitation is sung as the Pastor stands at the altar. During this hymn, you are invited to join him at the altar and express your desires for membership. The Church receives the members in three ways:

         By Becoming a Christian: Please read through this page for guidance on becoming a Christian. After praying to receive Christ, you will be presented to the church for baptism.

         By Church Letter: We will contact your former church and ask them to transfer your membership here.

        By Statement of Faith: If you have prayed to receive Christ and have been baptized by immersion, but do not have membership in a church, you are making a statement of faith. If you have prayed to receive Christ, but have not been baptized by immersion, you will join by baptism. If you come from a faith background that sprinkles, you will need to join the church and be baptized by immersion.

        The Pastor and others will be at the altar to pray with you and to answer any questions you may have. The Pastor will also introduce you to the congregation and present you for membership.
